Located at the entrance to Tuzigoot National Monument and overlooking the Verde River, Taawaki Inn is a Hopi Inspired 2-story, 44-room hotel in Clarkdale, Arizona. Owned and operated by the Hopi Tribe Economic Development Corporation, Taawaki Inn is a modern hotel newly built in collaboration with the Hopi people to feature Hopi cultural & educational elements for guests to experience and be inspired by. Taawaki Inn was built in the style of the traditional Hopi home, with a white-washed adobe-style exterior and natively sourced plants that seamlessly blend into their natural environment.

As you enter Taawaki Inn, behold the beautiful custom made stained-glass Sun Kachina window above the main entrance while traditional Hopi music guides you past interiors lines with a variety of Hopi artists’ featured artworks, including paintings, Kachina dolls, plaques, baskets, hand-made pottery, woven belts, and murals. Taawaki Inn will offer many activities for guests to enjoy, along with the opportunity for learning about the Hopi culture and their history. With the unique and modern design of the hotel, Taawaki Inn will feature amenities such as an art gallery, gift shop, fitness center, cafe, and conference room.

The sprawling 33,000 square foot hotel represents a marvel of Hopi culture and its hopes to share its culture with its guests. Taawaki Inn will be the first Hopi hotel constructed off of the Hopi reservation. A milestone for the Hopi people, and for the Hopi Tribe Economic Development Corporation setting new ground for the tribe. Being located in the heart of Arizona, Taawaki Inn is within a two-minute drive to the Verde Canyon Railroad, a 12-minute drive to Jerome, a 33-minute drive to Montezuma’s Castle, and a 35-minute drive to Sedona.
